The viols above are made in the style of the original makers with fine, well seasoned woods with a 5 piece “bent front” of spruce; the back, ribs and neck of figured maple; a traditional "open" scroll and double purfling on front and back; ebony veneered fingerboard and tailpiece; finished with a self-made oil and resin varnish and fitted with ebony pegs. The Collichons are made with a single purfling line on the front, as were the originals.

  In addition, I can arrange carved figure heads and decorative relief work for the peghead by the extremely talented, Suse Kuster of Germany (see gallery). I also offer additional simple decorative purfling work, based on original designs.

   Normally I supply custom fit cases from Kingham of England. A good case is necessary to protect and preserve the instrument. The case price is in addition to the cost of the instrument and varies with exchange rates.

  
   For orders, a deposit of  10% of the instrument price is requested to put you on the list and give you

an approximate completion time for your instrument. When I begin the instrument, another 20% is          requested. The remainder is due at the time of delivery. Current waiting time is about 6 months.

   My instruments are covered by a lifetime warranty to the original owner .
