   These viols are made in the style of the original makers with a 5 or 7 piece “bent front” of spruce; back, ribs and neck of flamed sycamore with an open scroll and double purfling on front and back, ebony veneered fingerboard and tailpiece, finished with oil varnish and fitted with ebony pegs. The Collichons are made with only a single purfling line on the front as was original.

  Also possible are carved figure heads and decorative carving on pegboxes and scrolls by Suse Kuster. I can also do some additional simple decorative purfling work, based on original designs. Other woods such as walnut and cherry are available.

   Normally I supply custom fit cases from Kingham of England but other types of cases are possible for frequent airline travel. The case cost is in addition to the instrument price and varies with the exchange rates and model.

   For orders, a deposit of 10% of the instrument price is requested to put you on my list with an aprxoimate finish date for your instrument. The remander is due at the time of delivery.

   My instruments are covered by a lifetime warranty to the original owner on all materials and technical aspects which can be described to be the maker’s responsibility.
